With nearly 20 years of experience as a licensed psychologist, I have worked with a wide range of clinical issues and diverse populations. Prior to starting full-time private practice, I spent 15 years working as the director of a university counseling center where I provided clinical supervision to a new cohort of graduate students each year. When working with individuals, I use an integrated model that draws from psychodynamic theory, interpersonal process theory, and Acceptance and Commitment Theory (ACT), along with the latest research on mindfulness and neuroplasticity. Together, these models serve as a holistic and therapeutic approach. I also specialize in working with couples and families (with adult children) using Emotionally Focused Therapy.
