My work is based on the belief that we all have the capacity for healing. I help people tap into their own sources for healing and teach practice skills to gain insight. I'm firmly rooted in a social justice framework and believe it is important to understand all of our experiences in the context of our community and environment. I believe that as a social worker I am responsible for challenging systems that limit our humanity and see my involvement in community change as integral to my work as a therapist. As part of my commitment to helping people individually, I also maintain a community of accountability and learning where I am able to learn more about my own learning edges, bias, and challenge my culturally assumptions. The greatest part of my work is getting to learn from others and understanding as a white male presenting practitioner about my own privilege and areas of growth. Ultimately, I believe diversity makes me better and so grateful to learn from the people around me.
