I am Michael Serrano, a bilingual and Latinx Licensed Clinical Social Worker here in New York City. I have also earned a Ph.D in Social Welfare from Yeshiva University and a Master’s in Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College with a concentration in clinical practice with children, youth and families. I am a 2015 alumnus of the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) Minority Fellowship Program. The fellowship’s aim is to develop expertise in mental health services to at-risk children and youth (adolescents and young adults aged 16-25) in underserved minority communities. I specialize in working with adolescents, youth, adults who experience anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, generalized anxiety, trauma, and depression. I treat a variety of conditions including abandonment, bi-polar disorder, sexuality, relationship issues, substance use (opioid and alcohol addiction) feelings of shame, guilt and anger.
