As a person I am laid back, casual, and deeply feeling. As a therapist I describe myself as a lover of revealing connections, passionate perspective changer, and compassionately curious. In therapy, I am open, transparent, and authentic. My experiences with feelings things deeply, being misunderstood, with food and my body have shaped my academic pursuits and areas of expertise. I firmly believe that we can heal through therapy and learn to accept the parts of ourselves we keep hidden, however, therapy is not a “quick fix”. Especially when it comes to issues with food and body image. Humans are complex which means quick fixes don’t work. Our healing is not linear; it is messy, raw, and requires vulnerability.
